Oura Ring Review
It's been over a month with my Oura ring, and I need to share my honest review!
I'm going to break down my favorite parts about it, and share the cons of course, too. The best part is that now that I'm a month in, I can look back and see how it's learning and adapting to me and the data over time.
I went back and forth on purchasing one for months. It's a big investment piece and I wanted to make sure it was the right fit for me. I hope this blog give you deeper insights into if it's the right move for you or not!
What I love about The Oura Ring
Sleep Tracking
The sleep tracking is probably the most talked about feature, and now I see why! I love looking at my sleep analytics in the morning and aligning them up with how I feel. I am a true night owl and this has encouraged me to put a little more focus on the amount of sleep that I'm actually getting. When I first started, I was getting sleep scores in the 60's and now I'm up to the 80-90 range!
Activity Tracking
I rarely have my phone on me outside of work (partly because of boundaries, partly because I'm an SMM with an iPhone 13 and my phone dies at 5pm on the daily...), so I was never getting accurate insights into how many steps I was taking when I was away from my phone. This allows me to track all the time!
Stress Tracking
On the outside I'm calm, cool, and collected...on the inside, it's giving the panicking Spongebob meme of him running around starting files on fire. Seriously, though! This has been an awesome tool for me to manage stress. Sometimes my head isn't always in sync with the rest of my body and having these insights has helped me become more aware of stressors and eliminate those.
Things I Wish I Could Change About the Oura Ring
I'm a dainty jewelry person and getting used to the ring size is a bit challenging!
I wish I could also track my diet with this, too.
How in-depth it goes with workouts - I love the analytics from Apple Watch and the accuracy there, and I wish Oura leaned a bit more into the workout tracking side.
It does scratch! I'm not a super careful person, so I did get a few small scratches on it already.
I hope this helps you make up your mind if you're on the edge!
