I've traveled to 42 States & Here Are My Favorites
Everyone who knows me knows that I have a major goal to hit all 50 states before I turn 30 (btw the clock is TICKING on this, so send help and airline miles), because I never shut up about it. But, you try explaining why you are planning a 'just because' trip to Delaware...it just requires more of an interesting story behind it, you know?
Anyway, so far I've been to 42 states, and I've been mentally taking notes and comparing my favorites along the way. If you were wondering, no, it was not Delaware, but I will share my top five with you out of the 42 I've checked off my list so far, and what to do while you're there. First, here are the states that I haven't traveled to yet!
Alaska
Kansas
Nebraska
New Mexico
Oregon
Oklahoma
Vermont (this is the next one I'm checking off though!)
West Virginia
1. Washington
This was super challenging to choose! While this isn't the place to wear your best outfits and a raincoat will be your favorite accessory, it has great views and places to see! I visited Washington in the spring and I'm obsessed with it! It has the waterfront views, cute Scandinavian towns, hiking, waterfalls, and miles of tulip fields. My top must are Mount Olympia State Park, Downtown Seattle, Tulip Town, and Snoqualmie Falls.
2. Arizona
I'm not quite the desert type (more of the dessert type if we are being honest), but Arizona's views are stunning! The Grand Canyon is absolutely better than a photo, and Scottsdale is more than just a Bachelorette destination, I promise!
3. Rhode Island
Channeling your coastal grandma is a hands-down yes from me! I stayed in Newport — the cutest east coast town. This also goes down as the most walkable town ever. I think I put in 10 miles every day from just all the places there are to walk, too. My must-see's: The Breakers, Cliff Walk, White Horse Tavern.
4. Montana
While this part of the U.S. becomes kind of a blur for me because there is so much to do and look at with the amount of National Parks in this direction, Montana stood out the most!
5. Florida
This one is a little basis because you know that some of our Team Social Savvy is based out of Tampa. But, I've seen a lot of the state and it's difficult not to include this in the top 5 when it comes to the conversation of weather and beaches! Florida has a little something for everyone - theme parks, resorts, camping, beaches, pools, you name it.
Honorable mentions, of course, too! These states have such cute small towns and amazing views I can't leave these out either...
Maine
Colorado
Michigan
In conclusion, these are my current favorites out of the ones I have traveled to. Hopefully, this persuades you to add a few more trips in 2025 to these top five states on my list!
