Spring Break Staycations in Florida

Spring break is such a crazy time for a Floridian, right? Here in Tampa Bay, we get so much tourist traction from Busch Gardens, Clearwater Beach, to Downtown St. Pete, and literally every place in between, making Florida one of the top Spring Break destinations.

You are probably thinking, I want a spring break, too, but I already live here...we are here to say, that doesn't mean we don't also deserve a little getaway!

Here are the top places you should add to the top of your Staycation list:

Cape Coral

Cape Coral is a boater’s paradise with all kinds of canals, perfect for kayaking or renting a boat for the day. It also has a great downtown area for shopping and dining.

Key West

An island escape that doesn’t require a passport, yes, please! Famous for its laid-back vibe, stunning sunsets, snorkeling, and history — this tiny island is a Florida staple. Grab a slice of key lime pie, hop on a bike, or soak in the nightlife on Duval Street.


Miami

Lounge on the iconic South Beach, shop till you drop at the Design District, or explore the vibrant Cuban culture in Little Havana. Miami has plenty of something for everyone from beaches to dining and nightlife.

Cedar Key

If you want a small-town quiet getaway, this is the place for you. Some have called this the "mini Key West," known for its fresh seafood and beach-themed restaurants.

If you are looking for the perfect blend of cute and charming towns, check out 30A. Each town offers its own unique vibe. Rent a beach cruiser to explore the scenic highway, or catch a beach day with the baby blue water!

St. Augustine

The oldest city in the U.S. History comes with of course, lots of history! Stroll the cobblestone streets and visit the many museums to get a taste of history. Or, explore the new with charming boutiques, cute cafes, and beaches.
