How to Create a Productive Morning Routine
We've talked about our morning skincare + makeup routines, now, we have to cover what comes after, our morning work routine!
Creating a productive morning routine sets the tone for the whole day. Here's a breakdown of our morning routine that helps us start a productive day!
End on a Good Note the Day Before
Ending your day before on the best foot is such a great way to start out at an advantage for the morning. We spend a few minutes writing down to-do's we didn't finish today, for the next day. Another key step is to ensure your workspace is organized and everything is fresh for the day ahead!
Take Time for You in the Morning
Make time to take care of yourself first, before work! Do your skincare, have a glass of water and breakfast, and even scroll on your phone for fun first, whatever puts you in a calm state to start your day off right. Get up early enough so you feel like you're not rushing through your AM routine to get to work!
Review Your Schedule + To Do's
Go over your calendar to familiarize yourself with any meetings, appointments, or deadlines you have for the day. This way you can prepare for that and be aware of anything you may have forgotten about. Look at your day-before to-do list and add anything new to it.
Prioritize your Day
Look at your to-do list and prioritize three main tasks you need to accomplish for the day to ensure you can put those first.
Time Block Your Day
Allocate specific times for each task to ensure you stay on track and focused throughout the day and get those to-do's done! There are such awesome tools for this, check out Toggl or Motion!
Limit Your Distractions
This could be your phone or something that's taking your mind away from what you have going on at work. Try to find creative ways to shut these out while you get your day started.
We hope these are the inspiration for you to add to your morning routine! By incorporating these elements into your morning routine, you’ll set a strong foundation for a productive day, and remember to trial and error what works best for you!
