5 Hobbies You Have To Try This Summer

If you work a 9-5, that means you have 40 hours of your week consumed by work only. That means we have to use up the rest of that time to it's full potential!

There have been lots that are dropped, forgotten about, or even just didn't really feel like it filled my cup enough. However, on the other side of that, there are some that can actually make a bigger impact and you might actually fall in love with them, check out a full list of a few of our favorite hobbies!

Pickleball

I know you're probably sick of hearing about pickleball, but if you haven't tried it yet, you have to! Break out your cute tennis dress, shop a cute paddle on Amazon, and phone a friend to come play!

Gardening

If you want to get outside and enjoy the weather, but get SO bored outside fast, I am you. No green thumb? Me either, I watch TikToks on how to take care of plants + set an alarm on my phone to water/weed out/etc. and it seems to solve this whole 'no green thumb' issue!

Reading

If you aren't a reader, I feel you! Before college, I never ever would pick up a book. But, I think it all comes down to (1) what you're reading (2) how you're reading! Take your book (or Kindle) somewhere fun, make a cozy spot, and take friends + snacks with you. Make reading more of an experience and less like a chore.

Cooking

Hear me out...if you're more of a boxed mac 'n cheese kind of girl, that's completely okay! Summer cooking can be SO much fun to at least try, though. Go to your local Farmer's Market and shop 'till you drop. It's cheap, it's fun, and it feels so full circle to be able to make something summery + delicious for yourself.

Painting

The perfectionist in me use to hate painting. I couldn't stand that my "piece" was looking more like a piece of garbage, but I had to shift the perspective with this hobby and it's become a favorite for sure. Grab some paints, find a relaxing spot (mine's the beach!), a canvas, and paint your day away!

We can't wait to see what the first summer hobby is that you pick up, have the best time trying these out!
