A List of the Best Questions to Ask Interviewers

"Do you have any questions for me?"

Me:

The last thing we want to do is leave an interview feeling like we don't know the role or we didn't ask at all. Always, challenge yourself to ask questions and come with questions prepared so you don't let your nerves get the best of you!

Asking questions in an interview is not only beneficial for you to see if it's the right fit, but it also shows that you're prepared and interested from the employer's perspective.

Here's a list of questions you can use in your next job interview:

  1. How do you define success with this position?

  2. Can you tell me about the team I'd be working with?

  3. Do you have a favorite part about working here?

  4. How can I exceed your expectations in this role?

  5. What does a typical day look like in this role?

  6. Where do you see the {company/position/role} growing in the next five years?

  7. Can you tell me about the previous person in this role?

  8. What does the onboarding process look like?

  9. Can you tell me more about the challenges this role might entail?

  10. Is this room for growth in this role?

  11. What's one thing I could do as an employee that would set me apart here?

  12. What are the next steps in the interviewing process?

  13. Based on this interview, do you have any reservations about me in this role that I can address?

Remember to also ask questions that relate to your industry and niche role specifically, too, and any questions you have about logistics {i.e. hours, insurance, 401k}.
