Laneige's Summer Sorbet Pop-Up: How To Have Fun With Your Marketing This Summer

Just like you, your marketing campaigns deserve a splash of sunshine and excitement this summer!

Your audience is out lounging by the pool, watching the UV index, so pulling their attention away from that is a hefty task for brands during the summer months. This is where fun campaigns and creative ideas can be super beneficial. What is your brand doing this summer to make waves in your industry?

In the first week of June, Laneige, a popular lip care brand, held a pop-up in NYC that's the perfect example of mixing summer fun with a powerful marketing move! In this blog, we want to highlight their campaign, plus dive into a few fun marketing campaign ideas you could use for your brand, too.

Laneige's Sorbet Pop-Up

What goes better together than summer and sorbet? On June 8th, Laneige drove out their brand bus to do a pop-up event in NYC. These are all focused around fun fresh summer flavors, so they had free sorbet to deliver a fun summer treat and free samples of their product. Not only did this allow for everyone to try their new products, but it was a fun way to give back to their audience with a sweet treat and grab their attention with this sweet snack!

Watch more on this Reel!

While this was a one-day event, they have been promoting in all kinds of fun ways on socials over the past few weeks in the launch of their new summer lippies collection, with fun reels, riddles, and clues hinting towards this event to promote it.

Here's what we loved about it Laneige’s Marketing Campaign:

1.) It was on-brand

This was a great brand pairing! This brought it all the summer vibes and was a perfect treat for a hot NYC day, but also ties back to their branding in the most spot-on way. We love the opportunity for a cute product photo opp, of course!

2.) It engaged current customers and new customers.

People who caught the clues online in their social media following could stop by since they promoted it, but it was also a great way to go outside of their current community and maybe even get the attention of some new fans!

3.) Online + In-Person Marketing Campaign Combo

Your marketing needs to be well-rounded and connected. What do we mean by that? Funnels and multi-channel marketing approaches. That's what we mean! We LOVE socials, but what we love even more is when marketing channels intertwine to create a solid campaign that hits multiple audiences.

This is such a great example of a summer campaign. Now, you're probably wondering what this could look like for your brand, right? Here are some fun ideas by industry!
