Female Founder Series: Lia Menna Gross

Lia Menna Gross

What inspired you to start your own business?

“I was inspired to start my own business so that I could be the best version of myself, especially with my son. Previously, I worked in a 24/7 industry with little wiggle room when it came to schedules. I was always "on" as in working until the moment my water broke and going back 10 days later.

It was in watching my grandmother lose a second son that I realized I had my priorities all wrong. Dropping off and picking up my son from school became non-negotiables and with that, my entrepreneurial journey began.”

What challenges did you face as a female entrepreneur, and how did you overcome them?

“In the past, I've experienced challenges as a female working in male-dominated industries. My former experiences became invaluable lessons that helped me define the core values of my business. This has allowed me to align with other business owners who share the same ideals and create harmonious relationships.”

How do you maintain a work-life balance while running your business?

“I feng shui my life. That means I prioritize what makes my heart skip a beat! :)”

What advice do you have for aspiring female entrepreneurs looking to start their own ventures?

“Remember that small steps lead to courageous leaps. You may not know exactly where you're headed or how you'll get there. But eventually, it all begins to take shape.”

Tell us about a defining moment or milestone in your entrepreneurial journey:

“Wrapping up the first cohort for my program, The Feng Shui Prescription™, was truly a moment to be remembered. I had poured so much of myself into creating this program and I was deathly afraid to share it with anyone (the irony!).

A small group of other entrepreneurial females took a chance on me and I'm so glad they did. It's allowed me to spread my wings and continue to offer this signature program to others. The greatest reward has been the ability to inspire positive change in the lives of others.”

What strategies do you use to stay innovative and adaptable in a rapidly changing business landscape?

"Maintaining the attitude that there's always room for growth allows me to stay flexible in an ever-changing landscape.”

What are your future goals and aspirations for your business?

"Simple...to continue to positively impact the lives of other women through feng shui.”
